Council of Yukon First Nations Grand Chief Peter Johnston invites Kate White, Leader of the Yukon New Democratic Party and Currie Dixon, Leader of the Yukon Party to talk about the Yukon Government is (or isn't) making on a full range of issues. Plus, with Yukon facing a new wave of COVID and an unprecedented opioids crisis, Health and Social Services Minister Tracy-Anne McPhee talks about the Substance Use Health Emergency, followed by a discussion about the myths of addictions with Jeremy Jones of Triple J's Canna Space. Grand Chief also connects with Shadelle Chambers to look at what's new at the Council of Yukon First Nations and welcomes Yukon's YouTube sensation Gurdeep Pandher (also known as Canada's Bhangra Ambassador) who's more than happy to unleash the power of positive thinking on the air.
Part I: Yukon NDP: Agreement Making a Difference
Grand Chief Peter Johnston welcomes Kate White, Leader of the Yukon New Democratic Party back to the show to talk about the progress being made under the Confidence and Supply Agreement her party signed with the Yukon Liberals last Spring. As keeper of the balance of power, the NDP leader examines a plethora of issues and expectations and what she needs to see for her to extend the agreement in 2023.
