Council of Yukon First Nations Grand Chief Peter Johnston hosts another full lineup of difference-makers including elders Adeline Webber and Judy Gingell who talk about the powerful journey ahead for the Chooutla Working Group, elder Bill Webber introduces his new book on the Yukon Association of Non-Status Indians, and Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in citizen and community safety innovator Gina Nagano talks about how a modern, First Nation-led approach to public safety is boosting spirits and strengthening neighbourhoods across the territory. Plus, Champagne and Aishihik citizen Bill Huebschwerlen talks about the importance of aftercare in the recovery process, Bronte Renwick Shields introduces the incredible team and mission of the Blood Ties Four Directions Centre and Dennis Zimmerman of the Yukon First Nations Salmon Stewardship Alliance discusses the critical work ahead to protect salmon stocks and help strengthen connections through a new Salmon Knowledge Hub initiative.
Part I: Eliminating Barriers: Blood Ties Four Directions
Grand Chief Peter Johnston welcomes Bronte Renwick-Shields, Executive Director of Blood Ties Four Directions Centre in Whitehorse to discuss the evolution of the organization over nearly three decades. Renwick-Shields talks about the ongoing push to remove barriers and fight for those who've been marginalized and may not be getting the treatment, support or the respect they deserve.

Part II: Last Door: Aftercare Solutions Key To Recovery
Grand Chief Peter Johnston connects with Bill Huebschwerlen, a Champagne and Aishihik citizen and an advocate for addictions support solutions in the territory. Bill has travelled the road to recovery and knows the importance of aftercare to the process. He says the Last Door program in British Columbia is a shining example of what works and believes enhanced aftercare services in Yukon would give those who want help the best chance for success.

Part III: Stepping Forward: Chooutla Working Group
Grand Chief Peter Johnston connects with elders Judy Gingell and Adeline Webber, Co-Chairs of the Chooutla Working Group, for an update on the effort to collect stories, photographs and testimonials from those who attended the school and talk about the journey ahead as survivors, leaders and communities work to preserve the memories of lost children and the search for a pathway to healing across the territory.

Part IV: Bill Webber: The Untold Stories of YANSI
Grand Chief Peter Johnston talks with elder Bill Webber about his new book celebrating the story behind the Yukon Association of Non-Status Indians (YANSI). As Past President of YANSI in the 1970s his insights and perspective help illuminate the challenges facing non-status Indians during a pivotal chapter in Yukon's history.

Part V: Community Safety is a Collective Journey
Grand Chief Peter Johnston connects with Gina Nagano, a Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in citizen who has been playing an instrumental role to help support the establishment of First-Nation-led community safety programs. A former RCMP officer, Gina's now an innovator dedicated to building partnerships and promoting more appropriate policing methods that reflect local realities in neighbourhoods across the territory.

Part VI: A New Hope: Salmon Knowledge Hub
Grand Chief Peter Johnston connects with Dennis Zimmerman of the Yukon First Nation Salmon Stewardship Alliance following a successful Yukon Salmon Ceremony and Gathering earlier this week. Zimmerman is also Network Coordinator for the Yukon Salmon Knowledge Hub and explains how this important initiative is connecting salmon and people through culture, ceremony, language and story.
