Council of Yukon First Nations Grand Chief Peter Johnston wraps up 2020 with a full lineup of politics and prizes, and with COVID numbers now taking a turn for the better in (approaching zero cases in the territory), some high profile Yukoners share their high hopes and best wishes for a promising New Year. Special guests include Commissioner of the Yukon Angélique Bernard, AFN Regional Chief Kluane Adamek, Deputy Premier Ranj Pillai, Whitehorse Mayor Dan Curtis, Yukon Party Leader Currie Dixon and CYFN Executive Director Shadelle Chambers. This is a special holiday episode that looks back, looks ahead and never stops appreciating Yukon's community leaders, elders, youth, frontline workers, volunteers and all those who made a difference this year. So long, 2020 – bring it on, 2021!

The COVID reality isn't stopping the second annual celebration, now scheduled as a virtual event with video tributes on the Commissioner's Facebook page and Northwestel's community channel starting 2pm on January 1.
