Officers Deliver

On April 6, 2020 CBC North published an awesome story about RCMP Officers working with the Old Crow Co-op to deliver groceries to elders and others who had been self-isolating in the community. If you remember, late March and early April was a particularly challenging time, and RCMP Cpl Patrick Russell along with officers _ and _ stepped up to help out their community.

Air North’s VIP Move

There were no confirmed cases in Old Crow at the time, but there were already five cases in the territory in late March when the community made national news after a frightened Quebec couple fleeing COVID-19 landed at the airport. In search of a new life the couple hadn’t self-isolated for 14 days in Whitehorse, which made them a serious safety risk after driving across the country to reach Whitehorse.
